Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026

This page explains what happens to your details when you contact us or visit this site. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we’ll explain it in plain language.

Who we are

Gigant Media LTD
Company number 14274725
71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom

We are the data controller for the details described below. To ask anything about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights listed further down, use our contact form.

What we collect

What you send us. Your name, your email address and whatever you write in the contact form. Nothing else is asked for, and we don’t buy data about you from anyone.

Technical logs. Like most sites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as your IP address, your browser and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site secure and to fix problems.

Cookies. See the cookie section below.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To answer your message, and if it turns into work, to send you a plan and a price. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and the steps taken before entering a contract.
  • To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe site.
  • To meet accounting and tax obligations once we invoice you. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies, only if you agree. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask for it, and we never sell your details.

Cookies

This site uses Cookiebot to ask for your consent and to keep a record of it. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is loaded until you choose.

The list below shows every cookie this site uses, what each one does and how long it lasts. It updates itself, so it is always current. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings widget in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Who else sees your details

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract:

  • our website hosting provider
  • our email provider
  • Cookiebot, for consent management (Usercentrics A/S, Denmark)
  • analytics and advertising platforms, only if you accept those cookies

Some of these providers process data outside the UK and the EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK international data transfer agreement, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, or an adequacy decision.

Nobody else gets your details, unless we’re legally required to hand them over.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t turn into work: deleted within six months.
  • Technical logs: kept for up to six months.
  • Client records: kept for as long as we work together. Invoices and accounting records are kept for six years afterwards, because UK company and tax rules require it.
  • Consent records: kept by Cookiebot for twelve months, after which you’re asked again.

Your rights

Under data protection law you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete your details
  • limit or stop how we use them
  • send your details to you or another provider in a portable format
  • object to processing we base on legitimate interest

Write one line through the contact form and we’ll handle it, normally within a few days and always within one month.

If you think we’ve handled your details badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your own country.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.

Something here you want in writing differently?

Ask us to delete your details, correct them, or explain what we hold. One line is enough, and you get an answer from one of us.
